Space Invader is about a young boy (Max) who loves three things - hanging out with his dad (who's his best mate), baked beans and Star Wars. So when dad's new girlfriend shows up and threatens his routine, Max has to take action. That kind of childish, knee-jerk reaction is something that anyone who's around kids can recognise, and it also lends itself to being very funny. Given how stressful 2020/21 has been, we wanted to make a movie that was just a really fun watch - a good heartfelt story that allows you to escape for 15 minutes.
